Step 1 · Prepare the guide

Which LumaGlow are you setting up?

Edge and Scroll share the same setup panel and home-Wi-Fi handoff. Their setup-network names and display messages differ, so choose the device in front of you.

Before you continue: wait for the green “Guide ready offline” message above. This page does not ask for or store your router password.

Step 2 · Power on

Plug in your LumaGlow.

Leave it powered on throughout setup. The current firmware does not need a manual reboot during the Wi-Fi handoff.

Step 3 · Join setup Wi-Fi

Connect your phone to the LumaGlow setup network.

This is a temporary, open Wi-Fi network created by the display. Your phone may say “No Internet”—that is expected.

Step 4 · Open the setup panel

Wait for the Illumin3D setup panel.

The captive panel should open automatically. If it does not, keep your phone connected to the LumaGlow network and type this exact local address into the browser:

This is a guide preview. Enter real Wi-Fi details only in the panel served by your LumaGlow at 172.31.253.1, never on this website.

Step 5 · Choose home Wi-Fi

Use “Scan WiFi,” then choose your home network.

LumaGlow connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. In the device panel, tap Scan WiFi, then choose the normal network used by your phone and other home devices.

Tap the WiFi Network field.
Select your 2.4 GHz home network. If it is hidden, type the exact network name.

If the network is missing: move LumaGlow closer to the router, confirm 2.4 GHz is enabled, and scan again. A 5 GHz-only network will not work.

Step 6 · Enter the router password

Enter your home Wi-Fi password.

This is the password for your router—the same password your phone uses. It is not an Illumin3D password. Enter it only in the local LumaGlow setup panel.

Check before saving: router passwords are case-sensitive. If the password is wrong, the setup Wi-Fi will return automatically so you can correct it.

Step 7 · Save and connect

Save, copy the permanent URL, then connect.

Tap Save and Connect. The panel will show a permanent local URL and give you about 20 seconds to copy it.

Save the exact address shown. The default is http://illumin3d-lumaglow.local/, but a custom Device Name changes it.
Tap I’ve copied it - Connect now.
Do not unplug the display. The setup Wi-Fi will close while LumaGlow joins your home Wi-Fi.

Step 8 · Return the phone home

Reconnect your phone to your normal home Wi-Fi.

The LumaGlow setup network disappears on purpose. Your phone must now be on the same home network as LumaGlow before the local control panel can open.

Step 9 · Open the controls

Paste the URL you copied into your browser.

Open the exact .local address shown by the LumaGlow panel. The default is:

http://illumin3d-lumaglow.local/

Confirm the phone is on home Wi-Fi, not cellular-only.
Paste the copied URL into Safari or Chrome.
Wait for the normal LumaGlow control panel to load.

Step 10 · Complete

Your LumaGlow is ready.

You should now see the normal control panel and can change supported display modes and settings. This guide saved only your device choice, phone type, and step number on this phone.
